In need of an adventure and a change of scenery, my husband and I embarked on a trip to Palm Springs ­ — a vast, arid, dry land with many beautiful hidden treasures. You just have to look for them. My friend loaned us the use of his condo off a golf course in Palm Springs, and we took off, leaving the dogs behind with our dog/house sitter.
